On Monday, the Traffic Commission reviewed a request for a stop sign on Atkins Road at the intersection with Davis Drive.
After conducting traffic counts for speed and volume, researching accident history, and measuring sight distances, the Commission concluded that the intersection did not meet any of the prescribed requirements for a stop sign.
The Commission did find that the intersection could be improved by the trimming of some roadside bushes and we'll be working with the adjoining property owners to make those improvements.
